It's good to welcome a new picture book artist. This is a sumptuously illustrated story about a crocodile who loses his teeth and so his power to frighten people. He has to learn to be friendly and learns that it's not so bad after all! The five-year-olds I shared it with loved it! They wanted the story again and then pored over the strong, immediate pictures. A definite winner and an artist who deserves more recognition.
