Ian Woodward's concise and information-packed book proved a great favourite with the group of ballet-crazy middle school girls. A pithy foreword by Wayne Eagling of the Royal Ballet, leads into an exhaustive compendium of history, dancers, music, movements, stories, steps, training, concluding with a section of further information of use to the prospective student of the art. A short bibliography for further reading is a useful addition. One criticism - such a visual medium merited more illustrations surely!
